Barbecue Swiss Steak

List of Ingredients
- 2 lb. round steak, cut about 1/2 inch thick
- 2 tbs. all purpose flour
- 2 tbs. salad oil
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 2 beef bouillon cubes
- 1/2 cup chili sauce or ketchup
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tbs. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. Worchestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. Dijon mustard
- Pepper
Instructions
- Trim and discard any fat, cut meat into 4 to 6 serving pieces
- Lay pieces on waxed paper, sprinkle with pepper and 1 spoon of flour
- Pound flour and pepper into meat
- Turn meat over and repeat same
- Heat 2 tbs. of oil in a 4 quart kettle over medium-high heat
- Add a few pieces of meat at a time and brown well on all sides, remove from heat and set aside
- Add remaining oil to pan, add onions and ccok over medium heat, stirring often until soft
- Return meat to pan
- In a small bowl, stir together bouillon cubes, chili sauce, water, lemon juice, Worchestershire sauce and Dijon mustard
- Pour over meat
- Cover and bake in a 325 degree oven for 1 1/4 hours or until meat is tender when pierced
- Transfer meat to a platter and spoon onions and sauce over meat
