Spicy Chicken Legs (Indian)

- 6 chicken legs, skin removed
- 2 tsp. ground cumin
- 2 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. turmeric
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 large cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 tbs. vegetable oil
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. flour
- 1/4 cup plain yogurt
Instructions
- Seperate chicken legs at joint
- In a skillet over medium heat, stir together cumin,paprkia,turmeric, cayenne and pepper, cook stirring for about 1 minute or until fragrant
- Remove from heat and stir in onions, garlic, lemon juice, oil and sugar
- Pour over chicken and coat evenly, cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours
- Let stand at room temperature for about an hour
- Place legs meat side down in a lightly greased roasting pan, pour in marinade and bake in a 400 degree oven for 20 minutes, turn and bast, bake for another 20 minutes or until crusty
- Transfer chicken to a platter and keep warm
- Set roasting pan over medium high heat, wisk in flour and bring to a boil
- Cook wisking 30 to 40 seconds or until thickened
- Sit in yogurt (do not boil)
- Pour sauce over chicken and serve
