    Spicy Chicken Legs (Indian)

    List of Ingredients


    • 6 chicken legs, skin removed
    • 2 tsp. ground cumin
    • 2 tsp. paprika
    • 1 tsp. turmeric
    • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
    • 1/4 tsp pepper
    • 1 onion, chopped
    • 3 large cloves garlic, chopped
    • 1/4 cup lemon juice
    • 1 tbs. vegetable oil
    • 2 tsp. sugar
    • 1/2 tsp. flour
    • 1/4 cup plain yogurt


    Instructions


    1. Seperate chicken legs at joint

    2. In a skillet over medium heat, stir together cumin,paprkia,turmeric, cayenne and pepper, cook stirring for about 1 minute or until fragrant

    3. Remove from heat and stir in onions, garlic, lemon juice, oil and sugar

    4. Pour over chicken and coat evenly, cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours

    5. Let stand at room temperature for about an hour

    6. Place legs meat side down in a lightly greased roasting pan, pour in marinade and bake in a 400 degree oven for 20 minutes, turn and bast, bake for another 20 minutes or until crusty

    7. Transfer chicken to a platter and keep warm

    8. Set roasting pan over medium high heat, wisk in flour and bring to a boil

    9. Cook wisking 30 to 40 seconds or until thickened

    10. Sit in yogurt (do not boil)

    11. Pour sauce over chicken and serve
