    • 1 GOOD CUP OF DATES
    • 1 TSP SODA
    • 1 CUP BOILING WATER
    • 1/2 CUP BUTTER
    • 1 CUP SUGAR
    • 2 EGGS
    • 1 3/4 CUPS FLOUR
    • 1 1/4 TSP BAKING POWDER
    • 1/2 CUP WALNUTS
    • VANILLA


    Instructions


    1. POUR THE BOILING WATER OVER THE DATES AND SODA
    2. CREAM TOGETHER THE BUTTER. SUGAR AND VANILLA
    3. ADD THE EGGS
    4. ADD THE FLOUR AND BAKING POWDER AND WALNUTS
    5. BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR ABOUT 1/2 AN HOUR
