- 3 CUPS HUCKLEBERRIES
- 1/4 TSP SODA
- 1 CUP WATER
- 1 CUP SUGAR
- 1/4 TSP SALT
- 2 TBSP VINEGAR OR LEMON JUICE
- FLOUR AND WATER TO THICKEN
- 1 UNBAKED PIE SHELL
Instructions
- COVER THE HUCKLEBERRIES WITH BOILING WATER
- ADD THE SODA AND BOIL SLOWLY
- DRAIN WELL AND MASH
- ADD A CUP OF WATER, A CUP OF SUGAR, THE SALT, AND VINEGAR
- BRING TO THE BOIL AND THICKEN WITH THE FLOUR AND WATER
- COOL AND POUR INTO AN UNBAKED PIE SHELL
- BAKE AT 375 DEGREES ABOUT 1 HOUR
