- 3/4 LB BROWN SUGAR
- 3/4 LB BUTTER
- 1 1/2 LBS SEEDLESS RAISINS
- 1 CUP SOUR CREAM
- 1 1/2 LB CURRANTS
- 1 LB MIXED PEEL
- 1/2 LB WALNUTS
- 1/2 LB ALMONDS
- 1 LB DATES
- 1/2 CUP MOLASSES
- PINCH SALT
- 5 EGGS
- 1 TSP EACH MACE, CINNAMON, CLOVES, BAKING SODA, ALLSPICE, AND NUTMEATS
- 3 1/2 CUPS FLOUR
Instructions
- CREAM TOGETHER THE SUGAR AND BUTTER.
- PUT THE FRUIT IN A BOWL AND COVER WITH 1 CUP OF THE FLOUR
LET STAND FOR 1 HOUR
- ADD ALL THE INGREDIENTS AND BAKE IN A LOW OVEN FOR ABOUT 3 HOURS
