List of Ingredients
- 1 1/2 CUPS SUGAR
- 2 (LEAVE OUT WHITE OF ONE FOR THE TOPS)
- 1/2 CUP BUTTERMILK
- 1/2 CUP SHORTENING
- 1 CUP SEEDED RAISINS CHOPPED
- 1 TSP SODA
- 1 TSP CINNAMON
- 1 SCANT TSP CLOVES
- FLOUR TO ROLL
Instructions
- CREAM TOGETHER THE SUGAR AND SHORTENING
- ADD THE EGGS AND THE BUTTERMILK
- ADD THE SPICES AND THE RAISINS
- ROLL OUT IN THE FLOUR
- USING A COOKIE CUTTER CUT AND PLACE ON A WELL GREASED PAN
- BRUSH THE TOPS OF EACH COOKIE WITH THE EGG WHITE AND SPRINKLE WITH SUGAR
- BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES
