    • 1 CUP SHORTENING
    • 2 CUPS BROWN SUGAR
    • 2 EGGS
    • 1 TSP VANILLA
    • 1 CUP GROUND RAISINS
    • 2 1/4 CUPS SIFTED FLOUR
    • 2 TSP SODA
    • 1 TSP SALT
    • 2 CUPS ROLLED OATS
    • 1/2 CUP CHOPPED NUTS


    Instructions


    1. CREAM SHORTENING AND SUGAR UNTIL FLUFFY.
    2. ADD EGGS, ONE AT A TIME BEATING WELL EACH TIME
    3. ADD VANILLA AND RAISINS
    4. SIFT FLOUR SALT AND SODA TOGETHER
    5. ADD TO MIXTURE
    6. ADD THE ROLLED OATS AND NUTS
    7. DROP BY TSP FULL ON UNGREASED COOKIE SHEET
    8. BAKE 10 MINUTES AT 375 DEGREES
