    • 2/3 TO 1 CUP SHORTENING
    • 2 CUPS BROWN SUGAR
    • 2 EGGS
    • 3 CUPS FLOUR
    • 2 TSP BAKING POWDER
    • 1/4 TSP SALT
    • FRUIT AND NUTS MAY BE ADDED


    Instructions


    1. CREAM TOGETHER THE SHORTENING AND THE SUGAR
    2. ADD THE EGGS
    3. MIX IN THE FLOUR, SALT AND BAKING POWDER
    4. FORM INTO ROLL. CHILL AND SLICE
    5. BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES ON A WELL GREASED BAKE SHEET.
