    • 1 CUP BROWN SUGAR
    • 1 TBSP BUTTER
    • 1 CUP RAISINS OR 2 CUPS CHERRIES
    • 1 CUP SUGAR IF USING RAW CHERRIES
    • 1 TSP SALT
    • 1 TSP VANILLA
    • 4 CUPS BOILING WATER
    • FOR THE BATTER....
    • 1 TBSP BUTTER
    • 1/2 CUP SUGAR
    • 1/2 CUP MILK
    • 2 TSP BAKING POWDER
    • 1 CUP FLOUR


    Instructions


    1. COMBINE THE SUGAR BUTTER RAISINS OR CHERRIES SALT AND VANILLA, AND THE BOILING WATER. ( WHITE SUGAR IF USING RAW CHERRIES)
    2. COOK FOR 1/2 HOUR
    3. MAKE A BATTER FROM THE BUTTER , SUGAR , MILK , BAKING SODA AND FLOUR.
    4. PUT THE BATTER ON TOP
    5. BAKE UNTIL DONE.
