    • 1/4 CUP SHORTENING
    • 3/4 CUP SUGAR
    • 2 EGGS
    • 1 TSP VANILLA
    • 1 - 8 1/4 OZ CAN CRUSHED PINEAPPLE
    • 1/2 CUP MASHED BANANAS
    • 2 CUP SIFTED ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
    • 1 1/2 TSP NUTMEG
    • 1 CUP COARSELY CHOPPED WALNUTS
    • 1 CUP SLICED PITTED DATES
    • 1 1/2 TBSP OF MELTED BUTTER
    • 1 1/2 TBSP LEMON JUICE
    • 1 TBSP WATER
    • DASH OF SALT
    • 2 CUPS ICING SUGAR


    Instructions


    1. CREAM TOGETHER THE SUGAR AND SHORTENING
    2. ADD THE EGGS AND VANILLA
    3. ADD THE FLOUR, BAKING POWDER AND NUTMEG
    4. ADD THE WALNUTS, THE DATES, THE PINEAPPLE AND BANANAS.
    5. SPREAD IN A GREASED 10 X 15 PAN AND BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR 25-30 MINUTES
    6. COOL TO LUKE WARM
    7. COMBINE THE LAST FIVE INGREDIENTS- MELTED BUTTER, LEMON JUICE WATER SALT AND ICING SUGAR AND BLEND UNTIL SMOOTH
    8. SPREAD OVER THE DESSERT AND CUT INTO BARS
