    Nuts: Coffee Pecans

    1 cup brown sugar
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/2 cup sour cream
    1 tablespoon instant coffee powder
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    2 1/2 cups pecan halves

    Recipe

    In a saucepan combine brown sugar, sugar, sour cream, and instant coffee powder. Cook, stirring, to the soft ball stage, about 236ºF on a candy thermometer. Remove from the heat. Add vanilla and pecan halves; stir gently until the pecans are thoroughly coated. Pour onto a buttered baking sheet. With two forks, separate the candy-covered nuts. Cool until set.
