    List of Ingredients




    1 1/2 cup almonds
    10 cup rolled oats
    1 cup sunflower seeds
    1 cup cashews
    1 cup wheat germ
    1 cup dried apple pieces
    1/2 cup vegetable oil
    1/2 cup honey
    6 ounces orange juice frozen concentrate

    Recipe




    Preheat the oven to 300 . Chop the almonds into small pieces. Mix all the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. In a small saucepan, combine the oil, honey and orange juice concentrate. Heat over low heat and stir until the mixture is pretty warm. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, and mix well. You should use your clean hands for this to get each particle covered with liquid. This is the secret to crunchy granola.

    Spread the mixture in two large baking pans, and toast it in the oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Granola is ready when golden brown but not dry. When done, turn the oven off and leave the granola in the oven overnight so that it will crisp up. Make sure that the granola is cool before you put it in the airtight container. If it is not cool when you store it, it will get soggy.
