    List of Ingredients

    * 3 envelopes of unflavored gelatin
    * water
    * sugar
    * peppermint, spearmint or any kind of mint extract you think would be good for your loogies!

    Recipe

    1. In the mixing bowl, stir the gelatin into 1/2 cup water.  Stir again.  Let the mixture sit there for 5 minutes until the gelatin has dissolved.
    2. Get your Parent Wizard.
    3. Put 1 1/2 cups  sugar and 3/4 cup water in saucepan.  Slowly heat to a boil.  (Have Parent Wizard  help you.)  Keep stirring the mixture so it doesn't burn.
    4. Add the dissolved gelatin goop.  Turn down the heat and keep stirring.  Let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes.  (Oh yeah, keep stirring!)
    5. Using the heating pads or oven mitts, carefully remove the saucepan from the stove and place it where the pan won't burn the surface.
    6. Add the extract of your choice.  Blend it thoroughly.  Let the mixture cool.
    7. Cover the goop and place it in the refrigerator for about 1/2 hour to chill.
    8. Once the gelatin has slightly thickened, use the whisk to add the ever important air bubbles into your loogie goop.
    9. Line a baking sheet with waxed paper.  Scoop big spoonfuls of the gelatin onto the waxed paper.  (Leave about 2 inches in between blobs -- the loogies will spread out.)  Place the baking sheet into the refrigerator for 2 - 3 hours or until the loogies are a firm wiggling mass of sputum.
    10. Remove the loogies from the refrigerator and let them stand at room temperature for 3 - 4 hours (turning them over every hour) so both sides will dry evenly.
    11. Eat the loogies after pretending to sneeze.  Watch your parents turn green!
