    Pesto: Perfect Garden Pesto

    List of Ingredients

    2 cups fresh basil, parsley, tarragon or cilantro
    1/2 cup olive oil
    salt to taste
    1/4 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
    2 tablespoons butter
    3 tablespoons pine nuts

    Recipe

    Place herbs in a food processor, add the garlic and drizzle in the olive oil (reserving 1 tsp.); puree until smooth and add salt to taste. Add Parmesan cheese, butter and pine nuts, processing until smooth. Pour into a sterilized jar and cover with a thin layer of olive oil. Makes 2 cups.
