    Hot Dog: Filled Frankfurters

    List of Ingredients

    1 1/2 cups macaroni, uncooked
    2 1/2 cups shredded cheddar, divided
    3/4 cup evaporated milk
    1 1/4 teaspoons dry mustard
    1 1/4 teaspoons salt
    1/8 teaspoon pepper
    1 1/2 pounds hot dogs

    Recipe

    Preheat oven to 400ºF. Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain.Combine 2 cups of the cheese with the evaporated milk, mustard, salt and pepper in the top of a double boiler. Cook until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth, stirring frequently. Add macaroni and blend well. Split hot dogs without completely separating and place in a baking dish, split side up. Fill with the macaroni mixture and sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese. Bake for 15 minutes to thoroughly heat the hot dogs. Serves 6.
