Mashed: Maple Mashed Sweet Potatoes

1/2 cup maple-flavored syrup
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 can (40 oz.) sweet potatoes, drained
1/3 cup PLANTERS Pecan Pieces


Recipe

PLACE syrup and butter in medium saucepan. Bring just to boil on medium heat. Reduce heat to low; simmer 2 minutes. ADD sweet potatoes; stir to coat. Cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Beat with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. PLACE sweet potato mixture in serving dish; sprinkle with pecans. Serves: 6

Special Extra: Add 1 tsp. grated orange peel with sweet potatoes.
