    White Chocolate Pecan Bars

    Source of Recipe

    unknown

    List of Ingredients

1 10 ounces pk white chocolate chips
    1/4 cup chopped pecans
    1/4 cup unsalted butter
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    2 eggs
    1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla
    1 cup flour
    1/4 teaspoon baking soda

Glaze: 1 oz chocolate + 1 tsp shortening

    Recipe

Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease an 8 or 9 inch square pan. Set half of white chocolate aside, and add other half to small saucepan over low heat with the butter. Melt, stirring constantly. In large bowl, combine sugar, salt and eggs, beating at highest speed until lemon colored (about 4 minutes).

On low speed, beat in melted chocolate and butter mixture and the vanilla. Toss flour, salt and baking powder together. Add to liquid ingredients, stirring until just blended. Add reserved chips and nuts and blend them in. Pour into prepared pan and bake at 350ºF for 25-30 minutes or until center is set and top is golden brown. Cool completely. Drizzle melted chocolate and shortening combination over bars. Chill and cut into squares.
