    List of Ingredients




    2 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats
    3/4 cup flour
    3/4 cup packed brown sugar
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    3/4 cup butter, melted
    1 package brownie mix with chocolate syrup pkt.
    3 tablespoons water
    1/4 cup oil
    2 eggs
    1/2 cup chopped nuts

    FROSTING:
    2 cups powdered sugar
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 ounce unsweetened chocolate, melt, cool
    3 ounces cream cheese, softened
    4 teaspoons milk

    Heat oven to 350ºF. Grease bottom only of 13x9 inch pan. Mix oats, flour, brown sugar and baking soda; stir in butter. Reserve 1 cup oat mixture. Press remaining oat mixture into pan. Bake 10 minutes; cool 5 minutes. Mix brownie mix (dry), chocolate syrup, water, oil and eggs just until mix is moistened; stir in nuts. Spread batter over baked oat mixture. Sprinkle with reserved oat mixture. Bake 30-35 minutes; cool. for frosting, mix all ingredients except milk. Stir in milk, one tsp. at time, until smooth and spreading consistency. Spread frosting over dessert and cut into bars. Makes 4 dozen.
