    CAKE:
    1 cup butter
    1/4 cup cocoa
    1 cup water
    2 cups flour
    1 1/2 cups brown sugar
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    2 eggs slightly beaten
    1/2 cup buttermilk
    1 teaspoon vanilla

    FROSTING:
    1/4 cup cocoa
    1/4 cup butter
    1/3 cup buttermilk
    1 rounded tablespoon flour
    1 cup powdered sugar
    chopped nuts

    Recipe



    To prepare cake, bring butter, cocoa and water to a boil. Combine flour, brown sugar, baking soda and salt, and pour hot mixture over dry ingredients. Add eggs, buttermilk and vanilla, mixing thoroughly. Pour into greased 13x18" cookie sheet. Bake at 350°F for 20-30 minutes.

    To prepare frosting, bring cocoa, butter, buttermilk and flour to a boil. Remove from heat and cool, then add powdered sugar. Spread frosting over warm cake, then sprinkle with nuts.
