    Double Fudge Cream Cheese Brownies

    BROWNIES:
    1 cup butter
    4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, cut up
    2 cups sugar
    1 1/2 cups flour
    4 large eggs, lightly beaten
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1 teaspoon salt
    2 teaspoons vanilla
    1 cup chocolate chips

    FILLING:
    1/4 cup sugar
    1 large egg
    3 ounces cream cheese, softened
    2 tablespoons butter, softened
    1 tablespoon flour
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla

    PREHEAT oven to 350ºF. Grease 13 x 9-inch baking pan. FOR BROWNIES: MICROWAVE butter and baking bars in large, microwave-safe bowl on HIGH (100%) power for 1 minute; stir. Microwave at additional 10- to 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Stir in sugar, flour, eggs, baking powder, salt and vanilla extract. Gently stir in morsels. Spread half of batter into prepared baking pan.

    FOR FILLING: BEAT sugar, egg, cream cheese, butter, flour and vanilla extract in small mixer bowl until creamy. Spread over brownie batter. Spoon remaining batter over cream cheese mixture. BAKE for 30 to 35 minutes or until brownie begins to pull away from sides of pan. Cool completely in pan on wire rack; cut into bars. Store tightly covered in refrigerator.
