Zucchini: Chocolate Buttermilk Zucchini Cake

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup oil
1 3/4 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup buttermilk or sour milk
2 1/2 cups flour
4 teaspoons cocoa
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
2 cups finely shredded zucchini
1/4 cup chocolate chips


Recipe

Cream together butter, oil and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla and buttermilk. Sift and blend in flour, cocoa, baking soda, cinnamon and cloves. Beat thoroughly then stir in zucchini and chocolate chips. Spoon into a greased and floured a 9x12" pan. Bake 40-45 minutes at 350ºF. Nice with a cream cheese icing.
