    Spice: Spice Cake

    List of Ingredients

    CAKE:
    2 1/2 cups flour
    2 cups packed brown sugar
    1/2 cup cornstarch
    2 teaspoons baking soda
    2 teaspoons allspice
    2 teaspoons cinnamon
    1 teaspoon cloves
    1 teaspoon salt
    2/3 cup oil
    2 tablespoons vinegar
    2 cups water
    Caramel Icing (see recipe)

    Recipe

    Mix all cake ingredients with whisk until well blended. Pour batter into a 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 325ºF for 35-40 minutes. Cool cake before frosting.
