    FILLING:
    1/2 cup peanut butter
    1/4 cup powdered sugar

    COOKIE:
    1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    1/4 cup sugar
    1/2 cup butter, softened
    8 ounces cream cheese, softened (reserve 2 oz)
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 egg
    2 cups flour
    1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
    1 tablespoon baking powder

    FROSTING:
    1 cup powdered sugar
    2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
    1 tbl milk -- (1 to 2)
    reserved 2 oz cream cheese

    In small bowl, combine peanut butter and 1/4 cup powdered sugar; blend until smooth. Refrigeate for 15 minutes. heat oven to 350ºF. Grease cookie sheets. In large bowl, cream brown sugar, sugar, butter and 6 oz. cream cheese until light and fluffy. Blend in vanilla and eg. Blend flour, cocoa and baking powder into creamed mixture. Shape dough into 1" balls; place 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheets. With thumb, make imprint in center of each cookie; fill with 1 tsp. filling. Form dough around filling to cover completely. Bake at 350ºF for 9-12 minutes or until set. cool. In small bowl, blend frosting ingredients until smooth; frost cookies. 3 1/2 dozen cookies.
