    1 cup + 4 oz chocolate chips (1 3/4 c.)
    10 tablespoons unsalted butter ( 1 1/4 sticks)
    6 tablespoons flour
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    3 tablespoons baking cocoa
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    2 eggs
    2 teaspoons vanilla
    3/4 cup sugar
    1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

    Lightly grease baking pans with oil; preheat oven to 325ºF. Melt 6 oz chocolate chips and butter in microwave, allow to cool slightly. Sift dry ingredients together. Using mixer on medium speed, beat eggs and vanilla until blended, then add sugar and blend until mix is thick, about 1 minute. Add melted chocolate and blend 1 minutes more, scraping bowl. Add dry ingredients, and mix until blended; add rest of chocolate and nuts and stir well. Drop by generously rounded tablespoons about 2" apart on baking sheet. Bake for 14-16 minutes, until rise slightly and form thin crust. Immediately transfer to wire racks to cool. Store in airtight container in fridge few days or freeze up to 2 weeks. Makes 20 large cookies.
