    Chocolate Chip: Ghiradelli Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie *

    List of Ingredients

    1 1/4 cups margarine, room temperature
    3/4 cup packed brown sugar
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 egg
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 1/2 cups flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
    3 cups uncooked oats
    1 bag Ghirardelli semisweet chocolate chips
    1 cup chopped walnuts

    Recipe

    Heat oven to 375ºF. Cream margarine with sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir flour with baking soda, salt ad spices; add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats, then fold in chocolate and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8-9 minutes for chewy cookie, 10-11 minutes for crisp cookie. Cool 1 minute on baking sheet, then remove to wire cooling rack. Store in tightly covered container. Makes 5 dozen cookies.
