    2 eggs
    1/2 cup superfine sugar
    1/3 cup flour
    1 cup pine nuts
    2 tablespoons butter or 1 tbl. heavy cream

    Beat the eggs well, then add sugar and continue to beat until the mixture is pale and thick--approximately seven to 10 minutes. Stir in the flour and pine nuts, and then add the butter or cream. On a floured board, spread out the dough by hand to avoid crushing the pine nuts, and cut it into rounds with a glass. Place the rounds on buttered or oiled baking sheets and bake them in a preheated 400ºF oven for 30 minutes, or until delicately browned.
