    Best Butter Pecan Ice Cream

    Sunbeam Ice Cream Maker
    2 cups half and half
    1 cup brown sugar
    2 tablespoons butter
    2 cups whipping cream
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1/2 cup toasted pecans, chopped

    Combine half and half, sugar and butte r in medium saucepan. Cook, stirring constantly, over low heat until bubbles form around edge of pan. Chill. Place mix in cream canister. Stir in whipping cream and vanilla, then freeze as directed. Add pecans immediately after freezing. Makes 1 1/2 quarts.
