    Pecan: Buttermilk Pecan Pie

    List of Ingredients

    1/2 cup butter, softened
    2 cups sugar
    2 teaspoons vanilla
    3 eggs
    1/2 cup flour
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1 cup buttermilk
    3/4 cup chopped pecans
    One 9-10" unbaked pie shell

    Recipe

    Cream butter and sugar. Blend in vanilla, then eggs, one at time, beating after each addition. Gradually beat in flour and salt; add buttermilk. Set aside. Sprinkle pecans in pie shell; pour in filling. Bake at 300ºF for 1 1/2 hours. Cool before cutting. May be served warm or cold. Refrigerate leftovers.
