    Lime: Key Lime Mousse Pie

    List of Ingredients

    -----------hazelnut crust---------
    2 c ground hazelnuts generous
    3 tb brown sugar
    6 tb unsalted butter melted

    --------------------------mousse----------
    5 eggs
    1 c sugar
    1/4 c unsalted butter
    3/4 c fresh lime juice
    2 tb grated lime peel
    2 tb rum optional
    2 drops green food color
    1/2 pt heavy cream whipped
    1/2 c sour cream

    Recipe

    Make crust: Combine all ingredients; blend well with fork. Pat into a 9 inch pie plate. Bake in 400~ oven 5 to 6 minutes. Cool
    Make filling: Beat eggs and sugar until lemon-colored and foamy; add butter. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until custard-like, about 8 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in lime juice and peel, rum and food coloring. Cool to room temperature. Fold mousse into whipped cream and pour into pie shell. Chill. To serve, spread with sour cream and garnish with lime slices.
