    Apple: Scandanavian Sour Cream Apple Pie

    List of Ingredients

    3 cups apples
    3 tablespoons flour
    2/3 cup sugar
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    1 egg
    2 teaspoons vanill
    1 cup sour cream

    TOPPING:
    1/3 cup flour
    1/2 cup cold butter
    1/3 cup sugar
    1 teaspoon cinnamon

    Recipe

    Note: apples should be cored, peeled and each segment cut into 3 pieces. Mix together the flour, sugar and salt, coating the apples with it all. Beat together the egg and vanilla, and add to the apple mixture. Fold in the sour cream. Bake in a 9" pie shell for 40 minutes at 350ºF. Mix the topping while the pie bakes, by cutting the cold butter into the flour, sugar and cinnamon until stexture is crumbly. Cover the baked pie with topping and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.
