    Lemon: Sour Cream Lemon Pie

    List of Ingredients

    1 cup sugar
    1/4 cup cornstarch
    3 egg yolks
    1 cup milk
    1/4 cup butter
    1/4 cup lemon juice
    1 cup sour cream
    1 tablespoon grated lemon peel
    1 baked pie shell
    1 cup whipping cream, whipped

    Recipe

    Mix sugar and cornstarch together in saucepan. Add egg yolks, milk, butter, lemon juice and peel. Cook over medium heat until thick, stirring constantly to avoid scorching. Cool in refrigerator after putting layer of plastic wrap over and along surface of custard (helps keep skin from forming). Stir sour cream into cooled mixture and pour into baked and cooled pie shell. Chill for 2 hours. Serve with whipped cream, store in refrigerator.
