    Cherry Custard Tart

    List of Ingredients

    1 beaten egg white
    1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
    3 cups tart red cherries
    1 cup sour or whipping cream
    2 eggs
    1 egg yolk
    1/2 cup sugar

    pie shell

    Recipe

    Preheat oven to 425ºF. Brush pie shell with egg white and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Scatter cherries on top. Beat together cream,eggs, egg yolk and sugar. Pour over cherries. Bake for 25 minutes or until the filling is browned and slightly puffy. Serves 6.
