    1 can black beans rinsed and drained
    3/4 cup salsa
    1 1/2 tablespoons chopped chives finely chopped
    1 teaspoon chili powder
    1/2 teaspoon sugar
    1/2 teaspoon cumin
    1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
    1/8 teaspoon salt optional

    In a medium bowl, stir together the beans, salsa, and chives. Mix the chili powder, sugar, cumin, mustard, and salt. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to blend the flavors.Think ahead: This dip keeps well so you can store it for up to 3 days in the refrigerator. Makes 2 1/2 cups.
