    Filling:
    1/2 cup wheat germ, any flavor
    1/4 cup finely chopped toasted almonds
    1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

    Cake:
    1/2 cup mashed ripe banana
    1/3 cup fat-free milk
    1 egg
    1 egg white
    1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    3/4 cup granulated sugar
    1/4 cup wheat germ, any flavor
    1 tbsp baking powder
    4 tbsp (1/2 stick) 70% vegetable oil spread
    3 tbsp fat-free chocolate syrup, plus additional for garnish

    Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray 8 square metal baking pan with cooking spray. For filling, combine ingredients in bowl; mix well. Reserve 1/2 cup for topping. Set both aside. For cake, combine banana, milk, egg and egg white in small bowl; mix well. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, wheat germ, and baking powder;mix well. With pastry blender or two knives, cut in vegetable oil spread until mixture is crumbly. Add banana mixture;stir until dry ingredients are evenly moistened. (DO NOT OVERMIX)

    Spoon half of batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle with filling mixture; drizzle with chocolate syrup. Spoon remaining batter into pan. Sprinkle with reserved 1/2 cup topping. Bake 30-35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack. Serve with chocolate syrup drizzled on top, if desired. Serves 9
