    List of Ingredients




    4 cups cubed apples
    2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
    1/2 cup plus 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
    2 cups plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 tbsp. butter, cut into small pieces
    1/2 cup half and half cream

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Use one 9x13" pan or two deep pie pans. FILLING: Place apples in a bowl, mix in lemon juice, 1/2 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons flour. Set aside. TOPPING: In a food processor or blender, mix 2 cups flour, salt, baking powder, 2 tablespoons sugar and butter until mixture is crumbly. Slowly process in the cream until the dough comes together. Fill pans 3/4 full with apple mixture. Add dough in clumps, or roll and cut into shapes and place on top of apple mixture. Sprinkle with remaining sugar. Bake for 20 minutes in a 400¼F oven or until golden brown and bubbly.
