    Soup: 1.5 pt. Ham, Bean, Spinach Soup

    List of Ingredients




    2 cups chopped cooked ham
    oil
    1 onion
    2 carrots; chopped
    1/2 teaspoon dried sage
    1 can white kidney beans; drained and rinsed -- (19 oz)
    1 can chicken stock -- (10 oz)
    2 cups water
    1/4 package fresh spinach; shredded or -- (10 oz)
    1 cup frozen peas

    Recipe



    Brush saucepan with oil; cook ham, onion, carrots and sage over medium heat for 5 minutes. Add beans, chicken stock and water; bring to boil. Simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in spinach or peas; cook for 2 minutes.

    Yield: 4 servings
