    BBQ: Crunchy BBQ Sauce

    List of Ingredients

    1 28-oz. can whole tomatoes
    1 onion, peeled and chopped
    1/2 cup chopped celery
    1/4 cup fresh parsley
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    2 tablespoons brown sugar (or sugar twin)
    2 tablespoons chili powder (no salt)
    1 tablespoon brown mustard
    1 teaspoon low sodium Worcestershire Sauce
    1/4 teaspoon vinegar
    1 bay leaf
    (Buny's note: may want to add liquid smoke or Bragg's liquid amino acid for flavor as well)

    Recipe

    Combine tomatoes, onion, celery, parsley and garlic in a blender or food processor; blend until smooth, about 30 seconds.

    Add brown sugar, chili powder, brown mustard, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar and bay leaf. Process for 15 seconds. Pour into a saucepan and simmer uncovered for 30 to 40 minutes, or until thick. Makes about 4 cups
