    List of Ingredients




    1 cup chopped onion
    2 cloves minced garlic
    1 1/2 tsp Italian seasonings
    2 egg whites
    1/2 tsp ground black pepper
    1 T dried parsley
    1/4 cup no sodium added tomato sauce
    1 1/4 cup quick oats
    up to 1/4 cup low sodium beef broth as needed

    2 pounds ground chicken/turkey

    Mix first nine ingredients in small bowl. Let oats soak up liquids. Add to the ground meat (it works with turkey too). Work it through until well distributed. Shape into loaf or meatballs.

    Bake meatloaf 400 degrees for about 1 hour (depending on thickness of loaf) For you ketchup lovers, Sometimes I talk about 1/4 cup of the tomato sauce and pour over top during the last 15-20 minutes of baking.

    Bake meatballs on cookie sheet about 20 minutes, or until browned.

    A three ounce slice will yield about 2 ounces of your protein.
