    List of Ingredients




    1 teaspoon dried thyme
    1 teaspoon curry powder
    3/4 teaspoon dried sage
    3/4 teaspoon ground allspice
    1/2 teaspoon paprika
    1/4 teaspoon cayenne
    (original recipe called for 1/4 teaspoon salt )
    1/4 teaspoon sugar (may be able to substitute Splenda?)
    1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
    2 teaspoons oil (or cooking spray)
    1 pound shrimp, peel and devein, tails intact

    Recipe



    Prepare medium hot grill. Oil grill rack. If using bamboo skewers, soak them at least 30 minutes in cold water. In small dish, combine seasonings. Combine oil and garlic. Brush shrimp with flavored oil (or spray with cooking spray), then sprinkle with the spice mixture to coat lightly. Let shrimp stand 20 to 30 minutes at room temp. Thread shrimp onto metal or soaked bamboo skewers. Grill, turning once or twice, 3-5 minutes until firm and just cooked through. Serve with lemon wedges.
