    Recipe Introduction

From member kkey22850: Enjoy. A friend from south India makes a fat-added version of this. I modified her recipe. With the spices I don’t miss the salt. These freeze well in individual serving sizes.

    List of Ingredients

    • 1 large onion – diced
    • 1 large “Family Size” frozen green beans
    • 2 cloves garlic - minced
    • Turmeric
    • Ginger powder (or use grated fresh ginger root)
    • Chili powder

    Recipe

Brown the onion in a large pan that has a lid. If this begins to burn before browning, add a bit of water, cover and continue to cook.

Mix all the dry spices together. (Seena doesn’t measure anything. I’ll measure this the next time I make it.) Add to onions.

Add green beans and garlic. Cover and cook until done. Divide into single servings and freeze for later use. FYI – if you have an Indian Food Store in your area, the spices are typically fresher and very cheap.
