    Lemon Asparagus & Carrots

    List of Ingredients

    1/2 pound carrot, peeled and sliced lengthwise
    1 pound asparagus spears, trimmed
    2 tablespoons lemon juice
    1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper

    Recipe

    Place carrots in a steamer basket above boiling water; cover and steam about 15 minutes, or until tender-crisp. Rinse in cold water; drain well.

    Cook asparagus spears in a saucepan with a small amount of boiling water until tender-crisp, about 4 to 6 minutes. Rinse in cold water; drain well.

    Cover and refrigerate carrots and asparagus until serving time. To serve, arrange on a platter and sprinkle with lemon juice and lemon pepper.
