    Great make-ahead recipe!

    List of Ingredients




    1/4 cup butter
    1/2 pound mushrooms, chopped
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp ground pepper
    1/2 pound liver sausage, room temperature]
    1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened, room temperature
    Crackers or dark bread

    Recipe



    Melt butter. Add mushrooms, salt and pepper and saute until mushrooms are softened.

    Combine mushrooms with sausage and cream cheese; mix thoroughly. Pack into crock, mold or other serving container, cover and refrigerate several hours to allow flavors to blend. Serve with crackers or dark bread.

    Can be frozen up to 1 month or kept in refrigerator up to 1 week.
