    These pecans were given to me as a gift and now I love making them myself.

    List of Ingredients




    1 egg white
    2 T cold water
    1/2 C sugar
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 C pecan halves

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 250°F.

    Beat egg white and water until frothy. Mix sugar, cinnamon, and salt together in a separate bowl. Pour pecans in the egg mixture and coat well. Pour in the sugar mixture and coat the pecans well again.

    Spread nuts in a single layer on a buttered baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes. Use an oiled metal spatula to carefully turn nuts over. Bake another 30 minutes. Cool completely and store in an airtight container. You can also add allspice, nutmeg, cloves, etc. to the sugar mixture if desired.
