    Toasted Bagel with Spreads

    Recipe Introduction


    Toast your favorite bagel and top with vegan cream cheese, mashed
    avocado, or either of the following delicious homemade spreads. You can
    add onions, green peppers, lettuce, and tomatoes, if you want a more
    filling sandwich.

    List of Ingredients




    Roasted Red Pepper Spread

    2 large pieces of roasted red pepper from a jar
    1 cup raw cashews
    1/4 cup water or more as needed
    Salt and pepper to taste

    Combine all ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth.

    Hummus

    1 can chickpeas
    1 clove garlic
    1/4 cup water or more as needed
    1 tablespoon tahini
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    Salt to taste

    Combine all ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth.
