    List of Ingredients

    3 cups water
    ½ cup oil
    6 Tbsp. Nutritional yeast flakes
    3 Tbsp. chicken style seasoning
    ¼ tsp sage
    1 onion, chopped fine
    2 cloves garlic, minced
¾ cups walnuts or pecans chopped
3 cups, give or take, instant oatmeal

    Recipe

Simmer first 7 ingredients for 15 minutes. Add the nuts. Bring to a boil. Add the oatmeal, and mix well. Turn off the heat and let stand long enough until they cool down so you can handle them. Make into patties. I use an ice cream scoop, the kind that is large and very round to make my patties. It is quick and they turn out fairly round. If I double the recipe, I again cut down on
    the nuts a bit.

Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes, turn patties, and bake 15 minutes or so more, until they are brown. Serve with gravy, tomato soup, or use in buns. They are also great plain. Sometimes I have a hard time getting them to the table before a few of them are eaten!
