    List of Ingredients




    4 1/2 cups water
    1 large onion, chopped
    1/2 cup chopped walnuts
    1/2 cup raw sunflower seeds, ground coarse
    1 Tbsp. sweet basil
    1/2 tsp. oregano leaves
    4 1/2 cups old fashioned rolled oats
    1/2 cup soy sauce
    2 Tbsp. nutritional yeast flakes

    Recipe



    Place all ingredients except the oatmeal in a large pan. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Let sit 5 minutes. Gently stir in oatmeal. Let sit minutes. Spoon onto prepared baking sheets or use 1/3 cup ice cream scoop and scoop onto baking sheets. Flatten with dampened hands.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 30 - 40 minutes until lightly browned, turning once about halfway through baking time. May use as a sandwich filling or served with gravy. Makes 24 patties.
