List of Ingredients
5 cups rolled oats
3/4 cup unsweetened coconut
1 cup raw wheat germ
1 cup peanuts (raw, without skins)
1 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup sesame seeds
1 lb peanut butter or almond butter
1/4 cup oil
1 cup maple syrup
1 Tbs rice syrup
1 Tbs vanilla
1/2 cup brown sugar (or date sugar or Sucanat)
2 cups dried cherries, chopped (or more, if desired)Recipe
Preheat oven to 325 F.
Combine dry ingredients except cherries.
In a saucepan over low heat combine nut butter, oil, syrups, and vanilla, stirring constantly, until melted.
Combine wet and dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Spread in a baking pan, and bake for 1 to 1 & 1/2 hrs, stirring every 15 minutes, until golden and crunchy.
Remove, and let cool completely.
Add cherries, and mix well.
Store in airtight container.
