    Cranberry Apple Crisp

    Recipe Introduction

    Walnuts and rolled oats make a delicious topping for this colorful crisp. Serves 9

    List of Ingredients

    3 tart green apples, peeled and cored
    3 tablespoons lemon juice
    1 tablespoon sugar
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1 cup fresh or dried cranberries
    1-1/2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
    3/4 cup walnuts, finely chopped
    1/3 cup maple syrup
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1/4 teaspoon salt

    Recipe

    Slice the apples thinly and spread them in a 9x9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon, and the cranberries.

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine the rolled oats, walnuts, maple syrup, vanilla, and salt in a bowl. Stir to mix, then spread evenly over the apples. Bake until the apples are tender when pierced with a knife, about 35 minutes. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
