    1 cup pitted prunes
    1 cup pitted dates
    1 cup dark raisins
    1 cup light raisins
    1 cup shredded coconut
    1/2 cup wheat germ*
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    2 tablespoons honey (or alternative liquid sweetener)
    2 tablespoons orange juice
    1 teaspoon grated orange peel
    1 cup nuts -- finely chopped

    Recipe



    Put prunes, dates, raisins and coconut through food chopper, using fine blade. Knead in wheat germ, salt, honey, orange juice and orange peel.
    (The amount of moisture in dried fruits varies. If mixture is sticky, knead in a little more wheat germ. If mixture is too dry, add a small amount of orange juice.)
    Form into 1" balls. Roll in nuts. Cover tightly and store in refrigerator up to 1 month.
    Makes about 4 dozen balls.
    Description:

    *Omit if gluten free. May substitute rice flour.
