Baked Tofu Nuggets

1/2 cup wheat germ
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/8 tsp. pepper
salt to taste
1 lb. firm tofu, frozen and then thawed, cut into 1 inch cubesRecipe
1. Drain tofu, wrap and place in freezer until solid. Thaw before using.
2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly oil baking sheet.
3. Place tofu cubes between two layers of paper towels and gently squeeze out excess water. In a bowl, combine wheat germ and spices, mixing well.
4. In a bowl of water dip each piece of tofu, shake off excess water and dip into wheat germ mixture. Gently press wheat germ into tofu cube with the back of a spoon. Place nuggets on baking sheet and bake 25 to 30 minutes, until crisp. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
